Behind the Scenes at Dugdale Bros & Co
04 Oct 2015
[caption id="attachment_442" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Oliver Brown proprietor, Kristian Robson, with the Dudgale Bros team.[/caption] If you've ever worn Oliver Brown or Savile Row tailoring, then you've probably encountered the high quality cloth sourced from Dugdale Bros & Co in Yorkshire. On a recent visit to their historic building in Huddersfield (where they've been manufacturing cloth since 1896!) we took a few snaps to share. We met the owner, Mr Charnock, and his son, who took us through the manufacturing processes and introduced us to the mills' impressively-skilled staff. We loved the old-meets-new approach to manufacturing; while taking advantage of the latest modern technology to advance the quality of the cloth, there's still a great sense of pride in traditional techniques. In fact, they're still using one of the oldest mills in the UK. Dugdale Bros & Co offer over 2,000 varieties of cloth - which, for the sartorially inclined, is a joy! - but our personal favourites are the mohair and the classic navy suiting. Take a look at our suits and tailoring range for autumn/winter 2015, with selected styles made with Dugdale Bros & Co's cloth.
