As the Olympians representing Team GB in Rio so brilliantly demonstrate, there's a wealth of homegrown talent to celebrate right now. In honour of their achievements, we're showcasing a selection of our favourite homegrown British brands available right here at Oliver Brown.
Chapman

Specialising in handcrafted canvas, leather and tweed bags for travel, leisure, business and sports, Chapman Bags have been manufacturing premium goods from their Carlisle workshop since the early '80s. This proudly Cumbrian brand use natural materials of the highest quality, and ensure they're sourced from Britain where possible. The Chapman holdalls are popular with the Oliver Brown customer, thanks to their hardwearing construction and timeless style.
Croots

Founded in the early '70s by John and Margaret Smith, the Croots brand specialise in high quality, handmade sporting luggage. Based in Malton, North Yorkshire, they pride themselves on combining fine workmanship with premium materials, resulting in beautifully made designs that stand the test of time. Their exquisite cartridge bags are the ultimate shooting accessories, combining function and practicality with unrivalled design.
Loake

Thomas, John and William Loake founded their handmade shoe business way back in 1880. Loake is based in Kettering, Northamptonshire, where their premium grade Goodyear welted shoes are still manufactured at the original factory built in 1894. They're renowned for their high quality materials and attention to detail, making them a desirable option for discerning gents. Granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment to HM the Queen in 1997, it's fair to say the brand is iconically British and a favourite here at Oliver Brown.
