Destination Style: What to Pack for the Cotswolds

Cotswolds collage   The late May Bank Holiday is upon us! For some of us, this means a well-earned break and a chance to escape for the weekend. This time of year is perfect for exploring the great British countryside, and in particular, the rolling hills and picturesque vistas of the Cotswolds. But what to wear? Packing for holidays can be tricky at the best of times, but when you factor in the unpredictable weather, it's an art to be mastered. Luckily, here at Oliver Brown we're well-equipped for every eventuality, rain or shine. First, we suggest investing in a robust yet stylish holdall that's perfectly sized for a three night break. We recommend the Canvas and Leather Weekend Bag by Baron. It's perfectly capacious, with leather trims for extra durability. Next, be prepared with a lightweight packable jacket. It would be a shame to cancel a day of exploration due to unpredictable weather. Our Schöffel Ketton Packaway Jacket is waterproof, windproof and breathable. It's the perfect companion... just incase. For versatile daytime and evening wear in the countryside, you can't go wrong with a Single-Breasted Tweed Jacket. Team with a check shirt such as our Tattersall version, a lambswool sweater (weather depending!) and cotton jeans by day, and with smarter trousers and a crisp white shirt in the evening. Finally, we recommend a classic pair of British-made brogues, such as this suede pair by Loake. Happy Bank Holiday!
