Create an accountHow to Wear Winter Brights
14 Feb 2016
When it's bitterly cold outside and the sun fails to shine, instead of blending into the background, we highly recommend bringing out the winter brights. The Oliver Brown winter collection is full of colourful, mood-enhancing hues that'll help you stand out in style. Of course, head to toe colour isn't a look most of us will pull off, but here's how to get it right.
Feeling bold? Try colourful trousers

If you're no wallflower, our heavyweight corduroy trousers are ideal for adding more than a splash of colour. They're available in a fabulous selection of colours, but our favourites are the dark green and raspberry pink. Just keep the rest of your look relatively neutral to avoid colour clashes.
Not so bold? Try colourful knitwear

Brightly coloured knitwear is probably the obvious way to brighten up your winter look, especially with such unlimited colour possibilities with which to experiment! Our lambswool cardigan and v-neck lambswool jumpers are available in a spectrum of colours to suit every ensemble. Perfect for pairing with indigo jeans.
Just a splash of colour? Accessorise

Okay, so bright colours aren't for everyone, but accessories are an easy way to add interest to your winter look. We love the the bright red splash of colour a tartan scarf can add (especially if it's cashmere) and for the ultra-conservative, a flash of colour at the ankle can make a world of difference. Try these Pantherella cotton socks - they're available in 19 colours, so there's plenty of choice for those experimenting with colour.
