Create an accountSummer in Colour: Dressing For Sunshine
25 Jul 2016
It seems that here in the UK we're being blessed with a REAL summer this year. The sun is shining day after day and we can't believe our luck. It's cause for celebration and a rejection of drab, dreary colours. Complement your new sunny disposition with suitably mood-enhancing clothes in hues that sing!
The easiest way to add colour is with a vibrant new jacket. The rest of your outfit can stay neutral if you're a stranger to head-to-toe colour, but a splash of bright fuchsia pink (from our unlined linen jacket) or pale red (our unlined cotton jacket) will certainly revitalise your look.

Similarly, a pair linen or cotton trousers in a bright new hue will put a spring in your step, wherever you're going. Worn with a crisp white shirt, the look is contemporary and fresh. Our linen jeans in pale blue are the perfect swap for traditional denim. While our smarter single-pleat linen trousers in fuchsia are the braver choice for smart or casual events. Pair our pale red cotton trousers with the coordinating jacket for a head-to-toe tonal look that's perfect for summer weddings.

And finally, for the less brave, colourful accessories are a joy to wear at this time of year. A polo belt with navy and soft pink accents will lift a pair of neutral chinos. Socks are the entry-level way to add colour, providing a subtle flash of colour at the ankle. And for the sartorially-inclined? A silk handkerchief artfully tucked into your breast pocket is the perfect finishing touch to a formal tailored look.
