Pink to make the boys wink? This bold cerise pink velvet smoking jacket is sure to make everyone wink! This stand out piece was inspired by the jacket Daniel Craig wore to the latest 007 Bond movie premiere in London. The 53-year-old British actor, who has starred in 5 Bond movies to date, sported a pink velvet vintage jacket for the world premiere of his last outing as James Bond, in the latest release “No Time to Die”. Paired with black dinner trousers, a white dress shirt and bow tie, the dapper star’s look caused quite a stir, dividing tastes across social media channels around the world.
Following the movie premiere, a customer visited our Lower Sloane Street store in search of a similar jacket. Whilst Oliver Brown offers a large collection of jewel coloured smoking jackets in this double breasted, peak lapel style, this cerise colour was not something we carry in in our ready to wear collection. Our Made-To-Measure service allowed us to create our own version of this unique jacket, using our ready to wear house style in a sumptuous pink velvet. Tailored from our double-breasted Cadogan block, for a classic-fitted cut, the jacket features a peak lapel, a full lining, working cuffs, and a half canvassed chest piece.

An initial consultation for a Made-To-Measure garment is much the same as commissioning a bespoke piece. Our expert team will take a comprehensive set of measurements and guide you through the myriad of cloth and styling options available to you. The garment should reflect the style and personality of the wearer. You will be able to choose your ideal cloth form our extensive cloth library, lining colour, lapel and pocket shape, buttons style and more. The styling details you choose in your initial consultation will be brought together to create a completely unique piece that is exclusive to you. Garments are drafted by hand and made in our expert atelier in England. Two fittings over the course of approximately 6-8 weeks are required to ensure a superior fit and finish.
While of course this bold pink velvet jacket may divide tastes, akin to marmite, it demonstrates the beauty of our Made-To-Measure service.
