RETAIL MANAGER

Salary: £30 - £40k depending on experience + bonus

An exciting career opportunity has arisen within an iconic British gentleman's outfitters in the heart of Chelsea. Oliver Brown is looking for a Retail Manager to lead an expanding team. 

Specialists in classic British tailoring, Oliver Brown is expanding its flagship store and it's team, and as such we need an experienced Retail Manager to join our team. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years (preferably more) of formal menswear experience, and confidence in managing a small team, running the shop and eCommerce website, as well as providing leadership and guidance to a small team of dedicated sales assistants.

We are looking for someone who can work alongside Oliver Brown's Proprietor to successfully grow the brand. The ideal candidate will be completely switched-on to the needs of every single customer, and ready to go out of their way to provide an exemplary service to our discerning clients - both ready to wear as well as within our personal tailoring department. The successful candidate will need to have good listening skills and a sharp eye for body-language, plus efficiency, enthusiasm and a whole lot of personal initiative. The ability to multi-task, prioritise effectively and thrive under pressure.

The Oliver Brown team currently comprises 5 sales assistants, 4 tailors and 2 administrators.

To apply for this role you must have 5 years’ experience in classic British menswear, all formalwear (morning and evening) as well as bespoke, made to measure and made to order personal tailoring. An understanding of the British social calendar; flat and jump racing, shooting, etc would be beneficial. All applicants must also be English speaking.

PA / RETAIL ADMINISTRATOR

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 dependent on experience + bonus

At Oliver Brown we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail administrator to join our expanding team. This position will be a full time role and the ideal candidate must be super organised and have meticulous attention to detail. The successful candidate will take a highly professional approach to dealing with a busy working environment, demanding customers and managing all administration, as well as some website updates. The candidate must be English speaking, and computer literate. An efficient multi-tasker with the ability to successfully follow operational processes. 

We are looking for someone who can be completely switched-on to the needs of a busy shop and e-commerce site, and ready to go out of their way to provide an exemplary service to our discerning customers. We need someone who uses personal initiative, works efficiently, and has the ability to prioritise duties with enthusiasm.

Main responsibilities:

  • Processing online orders and refunds.
  • Manage all customer service emails.
  • Some website updates using the Magento platform.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service; listening to and understanding customers’ needs.
  • Working as part of a team within the fast growing, established British store environment.
  • To meet deadlines, working in a timely and efficient manner.

An interest and knowledge of traditional menswear, the English social and sporting seasons and a comprehensive understanding of formalwear etiquette would be advantageous.

SENIOR SALES ASSISTANT 

Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience + bonus

Specialists in classic British tailoring, Oliver Brown is expanding its flagship store and as such, we need a dynamic Sales Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone bright who can be switched-on to the needs of every single customer, and ready to go out of your way to ensure satisfaction.

You must also have good listening skills and a sharp eye for body-language, plus efficiency, enthusiasm and a whole lot of personal initiative. If you've got it, we promise to do everything to help you to develop it to the full. Looking after customers is only half the story. There are plenty of other things to do such as maintaining day-to-day standards in the shop, picking and packing website orders, putting together press samples, replenishing the stock, taking deliveries and looking after the visual displays.
