Behind The Scenes Of Our SS19 Photoshoot

Spring Summer tailored menswear outfit by Oliver Brown

To showcase our spring summer 2019 collection, we decided to do something a bit different this year: an Oliver Brown beach holiday.

We travelled to the belovedly-British shingle beach of Cadland Estate on the Solent, location for the iconic Cowes Week, the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world.

Candland House

The current Cadland House is set within the beautiful grounds laid out by Capability Brown in the 18th century. The house remains a family home and is surrounded by Victorian pleasure walks and framed vistas of the Solent.

Calshot beach is nearly a mile long spit of shale with views of Portsmouth, Cowes, and a great length of the Solent. A large portion of the beach remains private, and the surrounding land is full of life, teeming with modern diversification into energy production, commercial offices, beach huts, and local tenants.

Setting off from London on a typically damp and chilly morning, we were not sure if the English weather would see fit to offer up a bit of sun by the time we reached the sea, but we packed a collection of favourite holiday clothing nonetheless.

A bracing ride through the New Forest in a classic car was just what was needed to leave behind those city blues and arrive at the, delightfully sunny, sea-side in style.

We were delighted to be able to use one of Cadland Estate’s luxury beach huts as the base for our shoot. They are a perfect for a weekend retreat, and we would highly recommend making a booking early as we’re told they have quickly become holiday hot-spots!
