Paul's story starts in Bromley, Kent, where he grew up. With over four decades immersed in the traditions of Savile Row, Paul's skill comes from his experience at the most prestigious tailoring houses, shaping his expertise and knowledge.
His days in the world of tailoring began with a coat making apprenticeship at Dege & Skinner, before moving on to by an Undercutter role at Huntsman. His skills led him to helm the tailoring team at Gieves & Hawkes where he was Head Tailor, followed by Tom James (Europe), and Kilgour. Now, as the Head Tailor at Oliver Brown's Lower Sloane Street store, Paul weaves his magic into our bespoke creations.
Beyond the world of tailoring, Paul's passions extend to the world of sport. He's a fervent Crystal Palace supporter and a revered 5th Dan Black Belt instructor in Shotokan Karate. He brings those same teaching skills to the table in nurturing the younger members of our tailoring team.
A typical day for Paul starts at dawn, arriving at our Lower Sloane Street workshop by 7 am. His role as the Head Tailor encapsulates a multitude of tasks—precision alterations, crafting bespoke garments, and guiding our next generation of in-house tailors. His satisfaction lies in conquering technical challenges and passing on his wealth of knowledge.
